The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) manages the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) on behalf of the nation’s public-use airports. Each year, the Florence Regional Airport receives at least $1,000,000.00 in grants in aid through this program. AIP funds cover up to 90% of the cost of eligible construction projects and equipment purchases. Typical AIP-funded assets include Airport Rescue & Fire-Fighting facilities and equipment, airfield pavement projects, passenger terminal facilities, airport security components and airport navigational aids.
The Airport, in consultation with the FAA and other interested parties compiled the attached 5-year Airport Capital Improvement Program. The program lists the projects we intend to undertake over the next five years, but may  add, modify or remove projects from the list.
